1 Medium Onion, diced
2 tsp minced garlic
Sesame Oil
2lb ground beef or ground pork (or 1lb of each)
1 tsp grated ginger
1 TB Sriracha or Garlic Chili Sauce*
3 TB Soy Sauce
1 TB Rice Wine Vinegar
Drizzle Sauce:
1/4 Cup Olive Oil Mayo
1 TB Sriracha or Garlic Chili Sauce*
Saute the onion and garlic in the sesame oil over med-high heat until the onions are translucent.
Add the meat, ginger, and sriracha and cook until the meat is done. DO NOT DRAIN THE FAT.
Add the soya sauce and rice vinegar to the meat and incorporate with the drippings.
In a small ziploc bag, mix together the mayo and sriracha. Cut off a teeny bit of the corner to make a piping bag.
Serve the meat on it's own or over shredded cabbage (buy coleslaw mix in the bagged salad section at the grocery store). Drizzle with the sriracha mayo and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
*commercial Garlic Chili Sauce usually has a fair bit of sugar, but a little bit of sweetness can go a long way in this recipe.
